Nevada Health Link is on its way to make enrolling in health insurance a more streamlined user experience. The new interface will use enroll.NevadaHealthLink.com instead of HealthCare.gov starting Nov. 1, 2019, to create a more simplified, consumer-friendly, experience with robust modern tool and resources for Nevadans as they shop for and enroll in health insurance.
With the state-based exchange, current Nevada Health Link enrollees (previously enrolled through HealthCare.gov) accounts will be migrated from Healthcare.gov to NevadaHealthLink.com. Enrollees will be invited to claim their account via a personalized access code they will receive via email starting in early September. Once an existing enrollee claims their account, they can also sign up for auto re-enrollment (if they haven’t done so already) and designate an insurance agent/broker or certified enrollment counselor to help assist them when the enrollment window for 2020 begins on Nov. 1, 2019.
Starting Oct. 3, 2019, both existing Nevada Health Link enrollees and new eligible Nevadans who are looking to enroll in a Qualified Health Plan, can visit NevadaHealthLink.com to “window shop” and compare plans and prices. You can enroll in plans starting Nov. 1, through Dec. 15, 2019. Once enrolled, the enrollee’s new health insurance coverage will be effective on Jan. 1, 2020.
If you missed open enrollment, let us help. Certain qualifying life events (QLE) may make you eligible for a special enrollment period. QLE’s are life-changing events such as job loss, income change, marriage/divorce and birth/adoption of a child to name a few. Nevada Health Link can connect contact a certified broker to see if you qualify for special enrollment.
