Good news, Nevadans!

The year 2020 may seem like it’s been a year of low after low – but Nevada Health Link has some good news for you! The Open Enrollment Period for 2021 insurance coverage is currently running now through January 15, 2021, and we have more comprehensive, qualified health plans (QHP’s) to choose from than before. With 50 different health insurance plans for customers to browse (almost twice as many as last year!), 21 different dental and now, even two vision plans to choose from, Nevadans now have more options for coverage.

50 Qualified Health Insurance Plans

There are 50 plans to choose from through five different carriers: Health Plan of Nevada (HPN), SilverSummit (Ambetter), and Anthem HMO NV are returning carriers this year, while SelectHealth is a new carrier. All five carriers provide plans that cover the 10 Essential Health Benefits.

  • All 50 plans are available to Nevada residents in Clark County and Nye County from all five insurance carriers
  • 45 plans are available in Washoe County from HPN, SilverSummit, Anthem HMO NV
  • 35 plans are available in Carson City and rural counties Churchill, Douglas, Elko, Esmeralda, Eureka and Humboldt
  • Lander, Lincoln, Lyon, Mineral, Pershing, Storey and White Pine counties have plans available from SilverSummit, Anthem HMO Co

Two Vision Plans

On October 28, Nevada Health Link announced a partnership with VSP® Individual Vision Plans, an offering of VSP Vision Care, the only national not-for-profit vision benefits
company.

When you enroll in VSP Individual Vision Plan, your coverage will go into effect the same day and a regular health plan isn’t required to purchase a vision plan. With possible savings of over $200 a year on eye care and eyewear, there’s no reason not to consider the options!

21 Dental Plans

Nevada Health Link offers 21 dental plans from six different carriers, available statewide. That’s a lot of options to keep your teeth happy and healthy! The carriers include Alpha, EMI, Delta, Liberty, Best and Rocky Mountain, all highly qualified to provide dental plans suited to your needs.

Need help navigating these various plans? Nevada Health Link always recommends consumers reach out to a certified agent, broker or certified enrollment counselor for assistance with eligibility and the application process. Visit our website to learn more about our QHP’s, and the qualified assistance options available.

Our customers may also be eligible for financial assistance based on individual or household incomes.
